We're big fans of The Fairyland Trust and their events (grab Wildling Volume 3 to read more about the ethos behind the charity). The ultimate aim of the trust is to introduce children to nature and they do this magnificently with The Fairy Fair - a magical two-day event which includes workshops on wand-making, elf-training, building fairy houses, wildlife hospital and more. Children are encourage to engage with nature in ways that capture their imagination and now in their 15th year, the organisers of The Fairy Fair have become experts at this.
This year the event was held at their new home of Sennowe Park on the beautiful estate of a majestic house. Alongside the bookable workshops were rowsing live bands, stalls featuring some wonderful creative crafters, storytelling under the trees and fun games for littles (who doesn't want to chuck a wet sponge at Dad?!?). A lot of the activities are for over 3s so bear that in mind if you're heading there with a toddler in tow.
If you missed The Fairy Fair then check out the website for news of their next event; The Real Halloween which is another magical day that's not to be missed!
